Afghanistan--Still!!

Hey, I'm back!!!!! And the war in Afghanistan is still on and soon we may be fighting in Syria and Iran. Bless us all, Santa and Mrs. Prufrock.

Afghanistan

The hardline rightwing extremists (few of whom have ever served in the military; I have) have no solution but more war. Against Iran, North Korea and whomever they designate as the latest enemy. And thus more and more $$$$$ to their favorite arms peddlers and private armies. Many conventional liberals and so-called moderates will surely refrain--at least until many more body bags begin returning -- from criticizing Obama should he choose to expand this insane conflict. Therefore, my question:

Why is it necessary to sacrifice so many American lives (not to mention Afghan lives) and so many billions of dollars (if not far more) to fight the Taliban, who are hardly a moniolithic groups and can never threaten the US?

To President Obama: Say "No" to continuing the American war in Afghanistan. A "Yes" will doom your presidency along with our hopes for "Change."
